1. Tell us a little about yourself. Well were to begin I'm a 34 girl who grew up in a small town in South Jersey right outside Philly. Huge animal lover and die hard phillies fan. I started my journey on August 1st 2005 with small healthy changes that helped me lose 40lbs then joined weight watchers in 2010 and lost another 50lbs and then spent some time playing with 5-10lbs and then had a bad break up, lost my dog , and was in a low point for sometime. I then decided in January 2014 to start my own Facebook page so I can finally reach my goal! Since 2005 I'm Down 90lbs.
2. What made you decide to live a healthier lifestyle? Oh so many things! My father having a heart attack was huge however that didn't get me to lose weight. It's when I became a nanny and not being able to keep up with the kids is what motivated me.
3. What changes have you made? I've made a lot of changes but I still struggle. First and foremost I didn't look at this as a diet I knew it had to be a lifestyle change. I started by actually eating breakfast and have done so since I started. Watched my portions and use measuring cups/spoons and a scale everyday. Cut out all fast food and the only drive thru I go to is Starbucks or DD for coffee. I work out and I track my food. Stopped eating as many processed foods as possible. And lastly I stopped negatively putting myself down and learned that I deserve to love myself.
4. How is your life different now? I'm happy, love myself daily, and know I'm worth it! I put myself out there every day in hopes it will help others. That's something I would have never done before. Working out and eating right are part of everyday life and I found a love of nutrition and cooking.
5. Any advice for others on their own journey? Don't ever give up & love yourself!! Otherwise it'll never workout! I've been at this, I've struggled over and over, I've hated myself, and I've threatened to thrown the towel in and the scale out the window more than 100 times. But after years of this amazing change I've learned I'd never want to be that 305lb girl again!
