Back to Reality

Hello world! We have returned from our long trip to Vegas and Denver. I have been traveling for 3 out of the 4 weeks this month and it feels really good to be home. We got home around 2:30 this morning and slept really, really late today. I have spent the rest of the day doing laundry and I think it is almost done.

I am planning a recap of my FitBloggin experience, but I'm not done mentally processing all the stuff that went on and the changes that happened in me while there, but it is coming I promise.

Now it is back to band practices, football conditioning, training, and planning a 15th birthday party for Saturday.

I know this is short and sweet, but I just wanted to check in and say HELLO!

Sending you all love and healthy wishes!

Holy Moly, Life is Good and Crazy!

Hi! Long time, no blog! My family has been traveling the past week. We flew into Las Vegas and just had a fabulous, but HOT time. I was a little limited with my boot foot, but I did as much as I could.

We stayed at the Paris hotel, which was beautiful. There is no way to recap the entire week. We visited the following hotels:
Planet Hollywood
Bally's
Caesar's Palace
Bellagio
The Mirage
The Venetian
The Palazzo
Stratosphere
MGM
Luxor
Excalibur
New York, New York
Monte Carlo
Mandalay Bay - and went to the shark reef
Golden Nugget
Binions

We love just looking around all of the hotels as each one is so beautiful and unique.

We went to Madame Tussaud's wax museum. The boys went to the Titanic and Bodies exhibits.

We went to the top of the stratosphere and the Eiffel Tower.

We saw lots of shows:
Ka
Blue Man Group
Tournament of Kings
Criss Angel
Rock of Ages
Jersey Boys

And we ate at lots of yummy restaurants. And here are a few of my favorite pics:
There are way too many to share!

I had so much fun and felt so free of anxiety. I let loose and acted goofy and just had fun.

We flew out of Vegas yesterday and into Denver for FitBloggin!

Sending you all love and healthy wishes!

Testimony Tuesday!!!

Today I am sharing my own testimony!!!!

Here is my "pleximony"! I started taking Plexus in October of 2014 after hearing stories of women who were getting relief from migraine headaches. For the past 20 years, I have struggled with chronic migraines. I had a migraine at least 5 days a week and woke up vomiting with them many mornings. I have seen numerous doctors and had scans and spinal taps. At one point, I was on 15 different prescriptions just to try to prevent them. I have tried about 5 different prescriptions to treat my migraines when I got one, was a regular at the ER for an IV with a migraine cocktail, visited the infusion center for daily infusions, and drove two hours every 6 weeks to get 31 Botox injections in my head, neck, and shoulders. My life was consumed with just trying to get the headaches to a manageable level. During this time, I was also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. A friend had started Plexus, and honestly I thought she was crazy. I had been successfully losing weight and thought this was just another weight loss drug. But I saw her story and others she shared. She invited me to an opportunity meeting and I decided to at least try it. From the first day I tried the products at the end of October 2014 to today, I have had a total of 2 migraine headaches resulting in only 1 ER trip. My pain and fatigue from the fibromyalgia is much better and more manageable. The weight is still coming off, but even if I never lost another pound I will never stop taking these products. I feel like my life has been given back to me. I'm truly blessed by Plexus and feel like Plexus is an answered prayer.

Boot Bomb and Home Sweet Home

I'm I made it home safely yesterday afternoon! It was so nice to see my hubby, boys, kitties and puppy!

I had such a great time, but it feels nice to be home. I was so busy, I didn't have a chance to blog about the rest of my days in Phoenix. But I had an amazing time and I learned so much and I'm fired up to help others become healthier from the inside out. At the end of this post, I'll share some pics I took along the way.

Funny story from the TSA line yesterday in Phoenix. I went through security and through the body scanner. Then had to be pat down. Because I'm wearing my walking boot, they had to swab my hands to check for explosives. My hand test came back with no explosives detected. When they sampled the boot, an alarm and red blinking light came on saying "explosives detected". So I had to be pulled to the side. The agent had to pay me down again (this time very thoroughly). Then they took everything out of my purse and backpack and swabbed the items for explosives, especially my phone and iPad. Then I had to take off my shoes and walking boot so they could put them through an x-ray machine. 30 minutes later, I was cleared of any evil intent to set off a boot bomb. I have to say that the TSA agents were very nice and friendly and made the whole experience easier. Now my boys are calling it my boot bomb!

Today has just been CRAZY! Running around from appointment to appointment. I met with my foot surgeon in the hopes I could convince him to let my get rid of the boot before our trip next week. No luck, he said my X-rays look great but with all the walking I have to keep the boot on until after vacation. He did recommend a heel lift to put in my other shoe to try to even my gait out more. My right hip is what bother me more than anything from the gimpy limp.

And I have to share my Cash went to the "spaw" today! Doesn't he look handsome?

Ok, here are some pics from Phoenix and the One Plexus convention:
Got to meet with Big Al!
Finally met Erin in real life!

That's it for today!

OnePlexus - Day 2

I had a very hard time sleeping last night, but I am going to enjoy my day anyway!

I was up bright and early this morning (still adjusting to the 3 hour time difference)  I made myself my smoothie with almond milk, vanilla Plexus 96, and Slim. It was so good and much better than going out for breakfast.

I took a nice, long, hot shower and got ready for the day.

I headed down to the lobby for a coffee and just to people watch.  The lobby is packed today with long lines to check in.  I am glad I came in last night.  EVERYONE I have come into contact with has been so nice and made me feel so good.  Not one person has judged me or made me feel badly.  I have even initiated some conversations with strangers!!! GO ME!

I was just sitting in the lobby and someone called out my name.  I was so excited to see Erin! We have been friends through Facebook for awhile and we finally got to meet and hug in real life.  She has been such an inspiration and encouragement to me throughout my journey!

I also met a lady from Texas who told me to call her Nanny. She was so sweet and prayed for me and for my foot. Her love and kindness brought tears to my eyes.

The lobby had infused water, so I filled up to be ready to face the 100 degree heat.

I decided to have lunch at a restaurant in my hotel called The District. They had cute little plants on the table.

It was weird eating all by myself, but I did it. I ordered the wellness bowl.  It was so yummy and full of good, healthy things!

Then I headed to the Plexus store. Oh my, what a line! I waited almost an hour just to get in, but I met some neat people while in line. I picked out some things I really needed ( haha more like wanted) and waited in line another hour to load and met some more awesome people!

Then it was time for the opening session. It was so exciting and really pumped me up. The energy in the room filled with thousands of people all working towards the same goals was amazing. One lady shared her story of how Plexus changed her health and she has lost 175 pounds! Absolutely amazing!

Walked back to my hotel and back to my room. I am exhausted and my poor foot is telling me to stop for today. So I ordered room service and changed into my pj's. I'm planning on relaxing the rest of the night and going to bed early to be ready for another awesome day tomorrow!!!!

Sending you all love and healthy wishes!

OnePlexus - Day 1

I made it safely to Phoenix last night around 7:00 after a great flight.

I flew US Airways and I was very impressed with the flight and the crew. I was lucky to be able to fly first class this time and I felt like a princess! I sat next to a very nice man who made me feel comfortable (for those of you who don't know, I tend to have trust issues with men I don't know).

I was served warm nuts as an appetizer.  And then we had a wonderful dinner.  I was really surprised at how good it was for airplane food.  There was a very fresh salad, pita and hummus, chicken with tomatoes, polenta and a cheese roll.  I even splurged and had a glass of red wine with my dinner!  Then dessert was vanilla ice cream with Heath bar pieces.  YUM!

There were free movies that you could stream to your own device.  So I watched Maleficent.  It was great to pass the 3 hour flight.

When I landed, it was still daylight (even though it was 9:00 back home.  I retrieved my luggage and then took a taxi to my hotel.  Check-in was a breeze.  There was no line.  I am very happy with my room.  I was excited I even had a fridge! I brought some individual almond milks with me to make my smoothie for breakfast everyday so the fridge worked out perfectly.

After resting a few minutes, I took a stroll down the street a few blocks to the convention center to get registered.  The whole town is decked out in Plexus.  There are banners and the bike-taxi drivers are even wearing Plexus shirts.

Plexus even gifted us all with convention bags, a notebook and a pen.  This is great for carrying everything around this week.

Then I headed back to the hotel to rest.  By this time, my poor foot is swollen and hurting.  I took a quick shower and tucked myself into bed to read and sleep.

I am so excited to be here.  I have put the business part of Plexus on the back burner while working out some personal issues, but I am hoping this convention will really help me boost my business so I can help other people become happy and healthy!

I'll be back with an update about how today goes!

Sending you all love and healthy wishes!

What if????

Holy moly, I leave in a few hours for the Plexus convention in Phoenix. I'm so excited, but my anxiety is kicking in high gear. I'm not anxious about flying or getting a cab to my hotel. My mind has started racing with all the "what if's"

What if no one talks to me?

What if my clothes aren't right? (I'm a t-shirt and jeans girl)

What if I'm the heaviest (fattest) person there?

What if my hair is too short?

What if people talk about, stare at, laugh at me?

I could keep going, but you get the idea. My social anxiety SUCKS! Especially when part of me knows better, but the thoughts keep coming.

I know I'm not a "girly girl", I don't do dress up and I know better than to try to fake it to fit in. I'm packing my t-shirts and jeans and I'm going to attempt to be comfortable being me!

And I had an intervention with myself with this lovely piece of advice:

Be ready for lots of Plexus posts and pictures for the rest of the week!!!!!

And pray for me to kick this anxiety's butt and have a fabulous carefree time!

Sending you all love and healthy wishes!

New Month, Exciting New Start

Somehow, I forgot to post this yesterday, so I'm a day late on the new month, but oh well!

I cannot believe it is June already! Kids are out of school and the pool is open! I am finally healing from my surgery and have less and less pain everyday.

I'm excited for a new (re) start on my journey. Here are my goals for June:

1. Get back to drinking half my body weight in water everyday
2. Take my Plexus products consistently
3. Try two new social activities

I have really been working on my anxiety and self-image both with counseling and medication. I can tell a difference already, but I still have a long road ahead of me. Tomorrow, I fly to Phoenix for the Plexus convention!
I'm excited and anxious at the same time!

I know that my mental health will not improve just because the number on the scale goes down. My main focus right now is getting my mind better and the rest will follow!

Sending you all love and healthy wishes!
